Ten Envious Questions to ask your next Character

Using character prompts is a creative and effective way to develop well-rounded and engaging characters in any storytelling context, including tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs). Knowing your Character before the first dice is rolled is a rewarding experience. It encourages the exploration of unique quirks, motivations, and backstories that may have yet to be initially considered. We aim to foster creativity and seek depth as we build our storytelling skills.

Envy is not always the first emotion we consider when building a character. However, jealousy and bouts of envy are natural experiences that can shape characters' perspectives on the world around them and the characters they meet. Consider how some of these questions spark envy in your next Character.
